Would you like to work with animals and become a certified veterinary assistant? We can provide you with the training and testing to become certified. The Animal Medical Center of Louisa is looking for a new team member who is looking for a career and not just a job. Rewarding work with great people. Experience is helpful but there is opportunity for the right person to be trained and certified. You will be helping the veterinarians and licensed vet techs with exams, testing, X-rays, surgery, and animal care. As well as receptionist duties interacting with clients on the phone, at check in and check out, scheduling appointments and explaining instructions. There is never a dull day. This work requires good people skills, ability to multitask, a willingness to listen and learn and some physical strength. Some minimal holiday and weekend work is required. Full or part time. Hourly wage depends on experience, PTO, retirement plan, CE, pet care discounts, among other benefits.
