Member Services Representative
ASIS International, a professional membership organization located in Alexandria, VA with 34,000 global members, is seeking a Member Services Representative. This position is responsible for providing professional and highly responsive quality service to members and customers. Responsibilities include answering inquiries via phone and email, relating to membership status, conferences, educational programs, certifications, registrations, product orders, processing membership applications and financial transactions, as well as maintaining membership data entry and integrity.
Requirements:
An Associates degree and at least two years related experience including customer service operations is required performing such duties as responding to email and answering phones, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred candidates will have three to five years related on-the-job experience and association experience. Candidates with Spanish speaking skills are strongly encouraged to apply.
To perform this job successfully an individual must have strong customer service orientation and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be and active listener with strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy. Must have the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents such as membership applications, renewal surveys and policies & procedures; Ability to effectively communicate verbally with members, staff and/or potential members over the phone, in person, and/or via e-mail.
Must have a good working knowledge of office e-mail and word processing software such as Outlook and Word. Intermediate knowledge of Outlook and Word, working knowledge of Excel, and familiarity with Association Management Systems (AMS) a plus!
