Chief Nursing Officer
Job Description
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In collaboration with the CEO, the CNO develops and implements nursing services for BMC’s core missions. The CNO directs and oversees the management of all nursing services indirectly and has direct leadership of the Emergency Department, Nursing Administration positions, Employee Health, Infection Control and inpatient units. In addition, this position functions in a matrix role with other senior leaders in the direction of nursing services in Outpatient Clinics departments. The CNO is BMC’s senior Nurse Executive and is also responsible for quality assurance and Joint Commission compliance programs.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or related field.. Licensed registered nurse in the State of Iowa. 8+ years hospital leadership experience. Analytical skills with ability to understand business proformas of nursing services as well as reimbursement for nursing services and its impact on the development of services found in the full continuum of care. Excellent in developing multidisciplinary groups/teams in bringing them together to problem solve and improve performance. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
