PARTS SPECIALIST – Full-time
Buzz’s Marine of Kearney has an immediate opening for a Parts Specialist to join our growing customer-oriented parts department. Mechanical experience or knowledge is required. This is a full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $15 + commission. Your schedule will be Tuesday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Rotating Monday’s during Winterization, plus as needed from the parts manager. Your hours will be recorded, and you are eligible for overtime.
Position responsibilities:
• Check in freight
• Sells products to repair the problem and meet the customer’s needs
• Read catalogs/computer programs to determine parts needed
• Provide Service Techs with parts as required
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
• Demonstrate product to customers
• Remains Product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training
• Knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signing
• Restock merchandise as required
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks that maintain and enhance the cleanliness of the department, products and the retail sales area, as well as workspace
• Uses dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently (forklift and tractor)
• Performs other tasks as required by Parts and Accessories Manager
Requirements:
• High School education or equivalent experience
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and use both hands
• Frequently lift 40-50lbs and assist in lifting 50-80lbs
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Must be able to frequently enter and exit vehicles. Must have valid driver’s license
• Boating &/or Mechanical experience/knowledge
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
• Customer service skills required via phone, email and in-person
