The purpose of this class is to oversee and administer a program of business functions for the College, including accounting, purchasing, financial reporting, risk management, and other functions as assigned.Master's degree in a finance related field or CPA, eight years' experience in finance including supervisory responsibility required. Experienced in financial management and the related functional areas of accounting, payroll, purchasing, financial reporting, treasury management, managing an audit and risk management. CPA, Governmental or higher education experience preferred.
  1. Provide oversight and support to the accounting, payroll, purchasing and financial reporting departments/functions under supervision.
  2. Develop, analyze and implement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of assigned departments/functions.
  3. Provide routine and special reports and information to appropriate individuals and/or agencies.
  4. Develop financial statements that are in compliance with federal, state and local reporting requirements.

  1. Develop the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, in compliance with the standards set forth by the Governmental Finance Officers Associations and other financial statement, as required by federal, state and local agencies.
  2. Direct the treasury functions, including making the appropriate investments of the institutions' excess funds in compliance with regulation while maintaining the cash flow requirements of the institution.
  3. Oversee the risk management function in cooperation with external insurance brokers and county agencies.
  4. Maintain proper internal controls over the College and CCBC Foundation.
  5. Coordinate all aspects of the year-end audit and reporting of the College, the Foundation and the Community College Humanities Association.
  6. Provide financial advice to management.
