General Overview
Processes payments to vendors including behavioral health service contractors, and performs various financial tasks. Ensures payments processed are in compliance with contracts and policies. Processes employees’ payroll and maintains timekeeping records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (listed below but not limited to)
-Balances monthly check register, expense and purchase order reports
-Investigates and resolves discrepancies
-Assists in balance of year-end fund receipts and disbursements
-Processes journal entries
-Reviews vendor invoices for correctness and processes vouchers
-Prepares receipts and pay-in information for cash, checks and direct deposits
-Prepares vouchers for ADM Board Service Providers and contract agencies
-Ensures payments are disbursed in accordance with contract requirements
-Maintains records of disbursement and contract balances
-Processes payroll
-Reviews employees’ electronic time sheets for correctness
-Processes employee expense reports
-Processes purchase orders in accordance with contracts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; financial reporting; payroll administration; standard office practices and procedures
-Ability to prioritize tasks in order to complete duties assigned; perform detailed work with numerical data; accurately post information to reports; work independently; develop and maintain effective working relationships with job contacts; maintain confidential and sensitive information
-Skill in performing mathematical calculations including decimals, percentages and fractions; data entry and general typing; application of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel; and other job software
Qualifications:
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
-Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, and three to five years of accounts payable, general ledger and payroll experience
-Quickbooks experience a plus
-Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements
Salary ranged based on experience $49,000-$60,000
