Goochland Powhatan Community Services announces a full time opening, 40 hours/week
with one Monday evening until 7 pm, for the position of Substance Use Disorder Clinician.
The Substance Use Disorder Clinician serves as a primary provider of outpatient substance
use treatment (individual, group, and family) to adolescents and adults who reside in
Goochland and Powhatan counties. The incumbent will provide evidence-based counseling
techniques to consumers that have substance use and mental health disorders. This position
is responsible for linking consumers to psychiatric services as necessary and for monitoring
their use of therapeutic medications. The Substance Use Disorder Clinician provides case
management and linkage to other resources that may be appropriate for the consumer. A
Master’s degree in a human services field and license eligible status required; license
preferred. Ability to work with co-occurring disorders and knowledge with use of electronic
health records and Office 365 also preferred.


Goochland Powhatan Community Services Applications will be reviewed for Interviews based
on License or eligibility to be licensed as a LCSW, LPC, or LCP and duties that include provision
of substance use or co-occurring counseling with the consumer populations and collaboration
with staff and outside providers along with use of Electronic Health Record and Computer
Programs. Salary based on education and experience. Successful candidate must pass a
background check and provide status of their professional license or license eligibility. A
