Senior Cultivation Technician

The Role

The Senior Harvest Technician provides manual labor which supports the post-cultivation activities and operations of our cultivation department. This position will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower sales and oil extraction. Additionally, this role will utilize a variety of computer systems and train new Harvest employees.

Responsibilities

• Participating in cannabis harvest process including offload, harvesting, sanitizing and reloading flower rooms, appropriate disposition of materials and cannabis waste.
• Harvesting and drying wet cannabis plants
• Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
• Train new hires/transfer on standard SOP’s and work instructions in area.
• Document all activity in Illinois traceability program
• Work with BioTrack THC and other inventory management software systems.
• Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties
• Depending on facility conditions will need to participate In all aspects of Cultivation.
• Work with a continuous improvement mindset
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives
• Basic math and computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions and to work at varying heights
• This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut/manipulate small objects

Additional Requirements

• Must pass any and all required background checks
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• Must possess valid driver’s license
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.
• Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
