Internal Auditor, Accounting Coordinator, Reimbursement Technician I/Medical Billing
RACSB is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Internal Auditor
Required Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of local government, non-profit or public sector auditing theories, principles, practices and methodology including professional audit standards, the development and execution of audit work plans and the evaluation of internal controls; thorough knowledge of government accounting principles, laws, regulations and practices; thorough knowledge of the operation of the agency's programs; thorough knowledge of business management theories, principles and practices; ability to interpret and evaluate efficacy of internal controls, policies and procedures; ability to operate a computer and proficiently use Microsoft Office and Excel; knowledge of SQL and ability to develop reports using various report writing tools; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of the agency and other private and public agencies and organizations; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to collect, compile and evaluate statistical and financial data and to prepare financial reports; ability to operate a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Public Administration with a minimum of 24 semester hours in Accounting and considerable professional auditing experience.
- Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Governmental Auditing Professional (CGAP). Valid Virginia Driver's License required.
Accounting Coordinator
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, supervisory experience and considerable experience in the financial management of a public-service organization.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, budget, and fiscal and management theories, principles and practices; thorough knowledge of public accounting principles, laws, regulations and practices; thorough knowledge of internal and external auditing practices and methodology; thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations; considerable knowledge of the operation of the agency's programs; some knowledge of business and human resources management theories, principles and practices; ability to operate computer and automated accounting systems and spreadsheet operation; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of the agency and other private and public agencies and organizations; ability to plan the work of, supervise and evaluate the work of a professional staff; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, make presentations and conduct training; ability to collect, compile and evaluate statistical and financial data and to prepare financial reports.
Reimbursement Technician I/Medical Billing
Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of the benefit coverage, billing and financial; knowledge of the operation and objectives of community services board/behavioral health programs; considerable knowledge of electronic medical records; considerable knowledge of the laws and governmental guidelines applicable to reimbursement and delinquent account collections procedures; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff of the agency, insurers and public agencies and organizations; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to collect, compile and evaluate electronically sourced data and prepare reports; ability to use common office computer software and perform data entry; ability to prepare and maintain financial records and accounts; ability to conduct effective interviews and assess the financial status of program clients.
Typical Education, Training and Work Experience
High school diploma and experience working in an office environment interfacing with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical and or behavioral health office experience preferred.
