Job Description
Assumes responsibility of directing and managing the University of Hartford's digital footprint and overall website presence. Manages the ongoing maintenance and functionality of hartford.edu including, but not limited to, integration, implementation, and performance of websites and applications in an effort to provide a high-quality digital user experience for internal and external constituents in support of strategic institutional marketing goals. Facilitates collaborations with internal and external partners to execute data-based analysis and reporting for web marketing solutions. Analyzes web analytics to identify opportunities to enhance digital performance, new growth opportunities, optimize digital marketing campaigns and search engine optimization. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility: Leads the web and digital team through the management and execution of day-to-day website strategy, including enhancements, maintenance, information architecture, user experience, and technology needs for hartford.edu. Manages website front-end and back-end development and implementation of new and ongoing web projects through Cascade CMS and external web partners. Manages the implementation of Cascade workflows for adherence to University web governance and website continuity. Serves as the primary liaison for internal web users, including necessary trainings and updates associated with the CMS.


Description of Key Responsibility: Strategizes with the web/digital team and AVP on the continuous improvement of website content, features, messaging and visual enhancements, particularly for digital marketing campaigns that support undergraduate and graduate enrollment goals. Manages site build strategies, integrations and merging of sites. Collaborates with OMC team to maintain UHart’s visual identity and consistency with brand and message guidelines throughout all of hartford.edu.


Description of Key Responsibility: Oversees the creation, execution and analysis of web analytic reports through Google applications, incorporating all communication channels including, but not limited to, email, text messaging, and online forms. Identifies solutions and makes recommendations for conversion improvements and/or testing. Creates a reporting structure to be utilized by various internal and external partners. Manages SEO efforts with third party partners in an effort to ensure best practices for SEO to improve the user experience and search results for all audiences. Collaborates effectively with external and internal partners to ensure compliance with website guidelines, server maintenance, hardware and software updates, and overall health of hartford.edu


Description of Key Responsibility: Serves as the lead liaison with Information Technology Services (ITS) to identify solutions for practical issues and support problem resolution. Researches and provides recommendations for office hardware and software updates. Serves as the lead liaison with our external website partners, Beacon Solutions and idfive.


Description of Key Responsibility: Manages and integrates third-party platforms in relation to the University’s website including, but not limited to, YouTube, Juicer, Site Improve, Acalog, 25Live, Slate CRM, and Clive.


Description of Key Responsibility: Serves on University committees as necessary and/or appropriate.
Performs other related duties as assigned.



Formal Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.

Work Experience:
Normal office situation. Requires travel, including overnight stays.
