Job Summary
The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking an experienced and collaborative Neurosurgery APP Director to join our organization. The Neurosurgery APP Director will serve as the primary representative for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the Department of Neurosurgery, fostering engagement, promoting advocacy, and enhancing understanding of APP roles across various divisions & the enterprise.
The Neurosurgery APP Director will dedicate sufficient time and prioritize their role to fulfill responsibilities effectively. The role involves active participation in formal and informal meetings, attending enterprise and department-level meetings, and collaborating with key stakeholders to craft solutions that optimize patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and a deep understanding of neurosurgery ambulatory and inpatient APP roles.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
A broad leadership view that recognizes and appreciates the unique and diverse nature of the department and the APP role. Ability to enhance the understanding of APP roles among physician colleagues, promoting collaborative and interdisciplinary care approaches.
Strong advocacy skills, engaging others in a positive and constructive manner. Availability to focus on the APP Liaison role and make it a priority within the organization.
Thoughtful and creative problem-solving abilities, working collaboratively with teams and the healthcare system to develop innovative solutions. Healthcare professional background with experience in multidisciplinary care approaches, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative patient care and treatment. Possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and a deep understanding of neurosurgery ambulatory and inpatient APP roles.
