Development Officer/Associate Development Officer
The Advancement Development Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects for the purposes of garnering support for university initiatives. The Development Officer works closely with colleagues; the UMW's three colleges: Arts and Science, Education, and Business; and across the University to build and manage a portfolio of current and prospective major-gift donors ($25K+) to move them toward giving levels that achieve both annual and long-range fundraising goals of the University.

The Associate Development Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of leadership annual giving and major gift prospects in the $25K - $50K range for the purposes of garnering support for university initiatives. The Associate Development Officer works closely with colleagues; the UMW's three colleges: Arts and Science, Education, and Business; and across the University to build and manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospect for the purpose of growing first-time major gifts of $25K to $50K and helping to broaden qualification efforts for the division. In addition to these activities they will also focus on family giving in partnership with the Annual Giving team and the major gifts team.
