Organizational Objective / Goal
To provide an environment supportive of an undergraduate program in computer science. The position is vital for the operation of the Computer Science program. Said worker must be able to work independently in the capacity of department office manager, administrative assistant, IT support, and lab aide manager to the Department of Computer Science.
General Description of Position
Work in the capacity of office manager and administrative assistant to the department chairperson and faculty of the Department of Computer Science. The responsibilities include serving as office manager, receptionist, making reservations and travel arrangements for computer science faculty and students, organizing events, ordering supplies and equipment using Banner, eVa, and VISA accounts; keeping track of financial records; setting up IT systems for the faculty in support of courses, setting up and maintaining the B12 and B13 computer labs, and supervising lab aides.
Required KSAs / Competencies / Qualifications to successfully perform their work
Candidate must:
Be able to work independently;
Be trustworthy and capable of handling large purchases (up to $5000 per order);
Be able to understand and follow policies and regulations;
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Have excellent organizational skills to include proficiency in English grammar;
Have excellent record keeping and ability to handle financial records and transactions;
Preferred KSA's / Competencies / Qualifications to successfully perform the work Knowledge of state policies and procedures;
Experience working in a higher education setting;
Experience with Banner, EVa, Canvas, Kronos, Careers and/or EAB;
Required Education

Experience with office software such as Microsoft Office or Google Docs;
Experience in data entry into systems;
Previous purchasing experience.
