Job Description

The MU Center for Health Policy (CHP), in the College of Health Sciences (CHS), is seeking a skilled Senior Program /Project Support Coordinator to coordinate the development, management and evaluation of the public health workforce and other future projects. The ideal candidate will excel in a diverse and fast-paced environment, exhibiting highly developed research and analytical skills in an independent and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities integral to this position include:
  • Assist in project development, planning, and coordination of current and new projects.
  • Choose methodology for research projects, select funding opportunities to pursue, and implement program/project decisions with assistance from CHP leadership.
  • Develop and conduct surveys, interview guides, needs assessments and project evaluation plans.
  • Assist in developing, managing, and implementing program assessments and evaluations, tools, and systems to collect, analyze, and interpret research, continuous learning, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Compile, analyze, and assemble both qualitative and quantitative data; prepare in-depth reports, summary procedures, conclusions, articles, and presentations; translate the findings into recommendations for health policy initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively to communicate data and evidence to complex situations in a meaningful and accurate manner.
  • Develop exemplary communications patterns and routine collaborations with leadership team and research teams to develop data definitions, data collection schedules, best practices for data aggregation and display.
  • Create and implement best practices around sharing data with internal and external constituents.
  • Analyze and utilize minimum data set surveys as a tool to collect data, including field work management of data collection.
  • Function as the main contact for RedCap; responsible for conducting professional, practitioner, and public health survey development, analysis, and management in RedCap, and other sophisticated systems.
  • Facilitate state and federal partnerships and correspondence among partners and stakeholders, maintaining contacts and scheduling, and driving project activities and goals.
  • Develop tools to track contractual activities and deliverables for several projects.
  • Facilitate project management and contract compliance activities and prepare applicable workplans and reports, including federal and state required documents.

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in health sciences, social sciences, or other areas relevant to health policy, with experience in research, data collection and analysis. Three or more years of experience in project development or social science research. Knowledge of large-scale data collection/management, research methodology, and program/project design and implementation. Experience with statistical analysis. Ability to work collaboratively with a broad diversity of partners.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Anticipated Hiring Range: $51,875 - $88,730
