The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of thoracic pathology. Applicants with cardiothoracic experience will be highly considered. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, and/or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the thoracic and cardiac pathology service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its affiliates, general frozen section service, autopsy service, and night/weekend call. Additional subspecialty interests will be considered.

Research and scholarship may include opportunities to participate in clinical research and mentor trainees on academic pathway projects if desired.
