The Opportunity
Audit and Compliance Services has an opening for a Manager, Investigations and Analytics.

Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities:

• To initiate, develop, coordinate, and implement compliance initiatives based on regulatory requirements related to higher education and university needs, with guidance from the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.
• Support daily operation of key elements of ethics and compliance program, including case management system and investigative processes.
• Develop and support risk assessments, and compliance reviews; provide reports to various university stakeholders; monitor progress on initiatives to ensure completion and resolution.
• Conduct ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for improved program effectiveness.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
• Superior comprehension, analytical ability, critical thinking, professionalism, and attention to detail are critical to this position.
• Experience with the creation, coordination, management, and assessment of projects is expected.
• Knowledgeable of federal, state, and VCU policy requirements related to conflicts of interest to effectively support the university's conflicts of interest program.
• Ability to develop, update, and maintain the Ethics & Compliance Program's operating plan and current initiatives; conduct an independent and proactive review of complex issues; conduct research and document analysis on significant matters; prepare and present findings and conclusions to management.
• Conduct detailed training in small and large group settings.
• Work independently and in teams to meet goals.
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Hiring Standards:
• College degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and demonstrated knowledge base. At least one year of experience working in higher education, academic medical centers, highly regulated industries, or experience working with highly regulated activities.9
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulatory policy research.
• Prefer certification in compliance (CCEP or LPEC) or willingness to obtain.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
